Grandmaster Kee Hwang - Founder of Moo Duk Kwan, influenced many Tang Soo Do techniques. Through observing a man who he had witnessed defeat 8 others in battle, and imitated the motions he had watched from afar. Later, while working on railroads in Manchuria, Hwang had studied many martial arts books, particularly those of Okinawan Karate. Here he learned many techniques that can be observed in the Pyung Ahn forms, as well as Bassai and Kong Sang Kun.
